My name is Quinn, and I am a fifteen year old girl living in the Wachusett area of Massachusetts. I am looking to baby-sit for any family with children who are three or older and live within a half-hour's drive of my town. I am available for work between 4 to 7 p.m. on weekdays, and basically whenever you want on weekends, holidays and vacations. 1) I am a Red Cross certified baby-sitter.

The certification I received was based on my completion of a two-day, twelve-hour course on subjects such as child care, child safety (such as CPR and the Heimlich maneuver) and other things that are good to know while watching over children.


2) I am extremely responsible.

Trust me when I say that I do not exaggerate. My mother often tells me she wonders which one of us is supposed to be the parent!


3) I am very compassionate.

It's close to impossible to make me angry or frustrated, especially with children. I always try to channel my negative energy into positive actions. Why be hurtful when you can just as easily be helpful?


4) I also double as a tutor!

Neat, huh? I love to learn, and I love to help people learn. If your child has homework they need help with, they're safe with me. I currently have a 3.5 GPA, and I study subjects that interest me extensively outside of my academic coursework (especially English! I love to read.) The tutoring comes free of charge when I'm baby-sitting your kids, since I genuinely enjoy doing it. Think of it as a Buy One Get One Free deal. ;)


5) I am more than willing to accommodate children with special needs.

I am absolutely in love with psychology, especially child and adolescent psychology, and have independently studied it extensively. If your child has a disorder such as Asperger's Syndrome, ADD/ADHD, depression, OCD, or any other mental or physical handicap, I would be more than willing to try and meet your expectations and create a safe and positive environment with your child. I completely understand the concerns of parents who have children with these conditions, and am more than willing to put in the hard work and effort it may take to make you comfortable inviting me into your home to care independently for your child. As for experience, I tutor and care deeply for my younger brother who has both depression and ADD, and have found that helping him accomplish his goals and spending time with him is one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever had. We've got a playground here at home and another right up the street, as well as many nature trails close by. I'm a believer that children grow like flowers...they need plenty of sunshine & fresh air...and juice boxes! We read a lot and aren't likely to be watching the tv unless it's a really rainy day or special occasion.
