I am a 39 year old guitarist that can hold my own. I do not have an ego and I am not looking to play with any ego maniacs. I am not looking for the best musicians on the planet just people who get along, can play their instruments, and practice regularly. I do not want to travel too far to practice and I am hoping to find a band that practices in the Worcester area. My strengths are Hard Rock but I can play a wide range of styles. I do not have any vocal abilities :( I am currently playing with a band now but we do not get together often enough for us to make any real progress as a unit. NEED guitar and drums, but want to hear from any instrument outside of bass and vocals.

So we'd been talking to a guy about auditioning on guitar. Sent a bunch of emails back and forth, set a time and date, gave an address and multiple ways to reach us. Practiced all week to be as tight as we could for the guy. Gave the band room a serious cleaning. Wrote out all the guitar tabs. Bought a case of beer. Burned him a few cd's of our biggest influences. All that junk. Kid never shows up, never calls, never emails. Waited for three hours. Perfect way to piss me off. Don't waste my time with bogus responses, please.

I've been playing out with cover bands pretty steady for near 40 years. A couple months ago, it's 2 am, I'm playing Beverly Hills, thinking ahead to the coming loading and unloading, standard crowd of drunks in attendance. It occurred to me I wasn't digging it, and hadn't been for some time. But I like to play.

I'd like to find others that have been playing for some time, have little interest in doing bar gigs but Still want to play on a regular basis.

Jeff Beck? Devo? Originals? Cream? Tony Williams? Beatles? STP? RHCP? Henrix? Sure, pretty flexible on Style/Genre, but probably not shuffling through the fake book or Country.

And singer-songwriters that don't insist on keeping the root-5th bass parts they thought up.

Currently have a reasonable space in Littleton, but finances may soon remove that from the picture.

Worst that can happen, you waste an evening. and you've done That before.

I am looking to make music worth listening to. The radio has gone to shit over the past few years and has provided me with the last bit of inspiration I need to fulfill a goal that I have been sitting on for a while. I play the guitar and have been doing so for the past ten years or so. I am looking for drums, bass vocals, maybe keys and a second guitarist (if it sounds good I'm all about it). Some things i am not looking for: overnight world domination, overly heavy/underly light music, pretentious/negative attitudes. I don't think of music as a genre of whatever; if it sounds good and does the job then great! With that another theory: too much of anything is bad. Everything in moderation. I understand that I'm not exactly telling you what I'm looking for. Writing music that takes advantage of the relationships between different instruments, the versatility of them and the interactions they produce is the best description I can offer. Simply put, music should have a point. I want to start making songs like a story. They should have a beginning, a middle, an end and with that a logical path between that beginning and end. Artistic not artsy. So if you are still giving me your attention and are chill and motivated to take the time to make something good, then please I would love to hear from you. Lets make this as painless as possible.

I'm 22- almost 23. Looking to find a startup or group of "ill repute" I've fronted a band before (more on that down a bit). Play a few instruments (keyboard-Trumpet-guitar--although I prefer to play trumpet and sing) and I build or repair tube amps.

I have a voice. Its better when I belt it out. I'm like a cross between Dicky Barret (Mighty Mighty Bosstones) and Steve Neary (Far From Finished). I've got a PA. I'm allergic to moronic dick-headed uneducated losers.
I don't care if you're old or young- have dreams of grandeur- or don't like boobies (but please accept my liking toward a supple pair). I'm not racist, fascist, or an alcoholic. I've got my own form of transportation, in fact I have multiple vehicles, I expect you to have a similar situation -- or at least be able to run really fast.

Furthermore: I'm in college, kicking academic ass. Practicing evenings or weekends would be preferable.

As for music I like it all, but I get off to: Ska, Punk, Rockabilly. Drop me a line with what you're thinking of. I know how to front a show- I tease, caress, molest and captivate the audience.

As for you: Be yourself. Stay in tune, in time and you should be fine. Don't be a loner-- a socially connected group will inevitably be tighter musically. Also, if you're frequently at, or should be in, The Betty Ford Clinic you don't need to message me.

We are Crail a gigging band out of Worcester/Princeton looking for a new guitar player. We are a 4 piece so you would be our one and only guitar player.

We need someone who can play tasteful leads, as well as rhythm. You must be able to also use tasteful effects as well. And please know how to use your effect pedals lol

Qualifications : You must be able to commit to the band at least 2 times a week. Have descent gear, be able to play shows, be able to write new songs and learn ours as fast as possible, and most important have fun.

We have studio time book in April but if your not ready, it's not a big deal. We would like to get you as comfortable with our songs as possible.

Whats up guys, alright so I posted this before and had some interesting replies and I have responded to some interesting ads which did'nt quite fly. So I will try to refine this and hopefully find the right band.

I'm 31, I've been in bands since I was 15. I've seen and done a lot of shit. I'm looking for a metal band to front and wreak havok with. Please, don't call me and tell me how you want me to sound. I will check out your stuff and you can check out mine, if that seems to click on both ends we can jam and we can decide if we all click and make something that sounds cool. I have spent too many years creating, running, booking and managing a band to be someone elses puppet. If you don't tell me to scream all the time I won't tell you I want non-stop double bass or chugging guitars in every single song.
That being said I can say I am one of the most entertaining vocalists to ever set foot on stage in New England, my antics are those of Legend ( not kidding here, I can give ref. on this) I tend to switch between melodics, a Max Cavalera bark, to a hardcore metal spit( think Biohazard, Madball, Sick of it All) and sometimes a scream. I adapt to the music so what you hear in my old band might not be what I do with you guys. I like to have fun on stage so if your looking for super serious gloom and doom this won't work( at one point and time I stripped down to a girls size 8 thong and danced while we played at a strip club)
I am looking for primarily HIGH ENERGY, a few chill songs are cool but I like to make a room move so if your doing Tool or Staind, I'm not interested. If your looking to sound like someone else on purpose I am also not interested, if you have a drug issue, smoke anything in your practice space, or are 50+ I'm not interested, If you stand on stage like a deer in headlights, yup not interested there either.
