Vintage 1950’s Dessert Plates and Cups; 8 piece serving. These beautiful dessert/luncheon/snack plate and cup sets from the Federal Glass Company feature a swirled wheat pattern on the plate and beaded glass handles on the cups.
Six plates and cup sets are identical. Two plates match but have a different cup design. (The two which do match identically are provided free of charge.) Set of 8 plates and cups are priced to sell at $75.00.
All in the set are in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. Plates measure 10.25 inches long x 7.25 wide and 3/4 inch deep. Cups measure 3.25 in diameter and 2.25 inches tall.
These sets were originally designed as dessert plates with coffee cups, so that guests could carry their dessert and coffee to a chair away from the table. Guests would congregate in the living room or library to enjoy their dessert together.
