This pair of Victorian era decorative urns with pleasing balanced proportions feature a claret ground with a painted reserve bold design that includes three pink roses and one yellow, with hand painted gold leaf trim and an allover gold diaper design.
Each slender modified tear drop shaped urn is mounted on an ornate square pierced cast metal base with equally elegant, pierced cast metal handles in the Rococo style.
All parts are original and in fine condition with no breaks, cracks or repairs. The metal sports a lovely old patina. The general condition is consistent with age.
These urns will add dignity and elegance to the right fireplace mantle, breakfront, or bookcase.
