2 original brass rubbings of Lady Margaret Peyton, often referred to as "The Lace Lady" a 15th Century English Noblewoman and her husband Thomas Peyton (1417-1484). These were created by my husband in 1972 when he was stationed in England and visited St. Andrews Church in Isleham, Cambridgeshire, England. He was an Air Force pilot flying giant C-130's during the Viet Nam War.
He created the brass rubbings by placing black paper over the brass plates of these two people at the church, then rubbing their plates with gold heelbox wax to reproduce their images on the paper. This is no longer allowed in England. The images are 28 inches tall. The frames are 32 inches tall by 17 inches wide. tall Both are in very good condition. Downsizing.
