Fully recapped using top quality components, cleaned, tuner aligned and amp bench tested vs original specs.
While these late 60s Scotts can suffer from extensive capacitor failures, they perform well with a full recap.
This one was totally dead due to several electrolytic caps failing open in the amplifier and power supply.
After recap, the amplifier delivered 15 watts per channel (both channels driving 8 ohms, 20 - 20,000 Hz, < 0.5% distortion).
That is plenty with even fairly efficient speakers. The FM tuner works well and sounds very nice.
Cosmetics are excellent (see photos). The cabinet's original finish was a bit tired, so it was carefully removed with new stain and sealing applied.
