Job Overview
We are a family run restaurant seeking a dedicated and experienced culinary person to fill our Kitchen Supervisor position. We are looking for a professional individual who wants to grow and lead our culinary team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service, ensuring that all food preparation and safety standards are met. This role requires excellent leadership skills, a passion for food, and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff to deliver high-quality meals. We are opening a second restaurant shortly so the chance to grow and advance for the right individual is available.
Responsibilities
Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to food safety standards.
Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and safety protocols.
Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
Collaborate with chefs to develop menus that meet customer preferences while adhering to budgetary constraints.
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations.
Assist in food preparation and cooking as needed during peak service times.
Address any issues or complaints from staff or customers promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a line cook in a high volume restaurant.
A love for food and people.
Have the need to LOVE where you work.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen equipment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Familiarity with catering operations is a plus.
Certification in Food Safety or Culinary Arts is preferred but not required.
