I have an approximately 16-20 year old Horsfeld Tortoise that I need to rehome. Her shell is about 6-7 inches at the widest point. Pictures attached.
I have a large wooden habitat, approximately 3' x 6' in size, that I build myself, that I'm willing to send with her. The cage is lined with cypress mulch, which I will be removing and tossing; so you'll need new substrate for the bottom of the cage. She seems to like and do well in the cypress mulch. If you want to take the cage its going to take a couple people, and I will need some time to empty it for transport. As you can see in the picture, it consists of (1) a top cage piece, and (2) a bottom stand. Sturdy, but homemade. I also have a heat lamp, a UV lamp, and a bunch of other accoutrements that can go with her as well. (Pictures attached).
I used a kiddie pool to give her soaks outside, which you can have as well if you want it.
If you want just her and the equipment (and not the cage), or just her, that's fine too.
I acquired her off of Craigslist about 11 years ago, so I'm not sure of her exact age. I believe she was bought about 5 years before I got her, so she's probably somewhere around 16-20.
I previously listed her to be rehomed, but she was hibernating at the time, so I didn't pursue anyone who had expressed interest. She has now woken up for the spring, and is very active, so I will be rehoming her. If you were interested before, and are still interested, please let me know. She had been claimed a couple times, but the arrangements have fallen thought.
I am in MILLBURY, MASSACHUSETTS. No delivery. She needs to be picked up.
If you just want her (and the equipment), I can bring her in a crate to meet somewhere public, if local-ish. I cannot deliver the cage. If you want the cage too, you'll likely need help to load it. I can have it outside and ready to go for pick up.
If you want her, I want to know a little bit about the situation she'll be moving into, to make sure she goes to a good place.
