Their bold coloring and fluffy pom-pom crests on their heads make them one of the most recognizable chickens you can keep, and they bring a friendly, curious energy to the yard. They’re quite docile and love people - they will follow you around the yard and many enjoy being held and snuggled.
Please be aware that their big hats can make it harder for them to see, which means they are prone to bullying from other chickens and are at a higher risk of getting taken by predators if you free range. We trim the feathers on their crests to help them see and only free-range supervised.
They lay nice medium to large sized white eggs.
I have a few different ages, hatched between 3/18 and 4/4, so between 11 and 16 weeks old.
$50 each. Have 8 total left as of right now.
Prefer to sell in at least pairs, as they’ll transition easier with a friend. I also have Olandsk Dwarf and Cream Legbar pullets of the same age they have been raised with and are already friends with :)
NPIP and in Westminster, MA.
I also have one cockerel (boy) available too if you're interested in a breeding pair or trio.
