These were recently planted, for all the others sold out this season.
The bright yellow flowers bloom in early summer, pads and red fruits are edible by humans and reptiles, and multiply wonderfully, a great easy to care for perennial, sand/regular soil, full sun and regular water.
Each dot/areole on cacti pad have small hairlike pickers/glochnids in them, so caution should be taken when planting or handling them, tongs are recommended.
These areoles are also are where a new pad or root would form if in contact with dirt, and if above ground would form a new baby pad. (which can be removed and planted to make a new plant).
Once established, they can be replanted/divided into your garden. In late Spring, early summer (May to July) the pollinators love the bright yellow flowers , no fertilizers have been used, all are natural... they overwinter outside, no need to bring indoors.
