This wheelchair has only been used on 2 occasions to take my father from our house to his garage. It performed very well on solid grounds (grass, packed gravel). It has five speeds, the hubs lock/unlock so you can push if needed. There are two controls, one for the person in the wheelchair, and one for someone behind it (if needed). It comes with detachable leg rests. I can't speak to the battery life directly as we barely used it.
