- I have had this for several months now and use it at least 2-3 times a week. I make sauces, dressings with ease. I love it to chop zucchini for lasagna and zucchini bread. When I make the bread I add the other ingredients and mix - soooo easy... slices come out great in all sizes. I like that it has a storage lid - tuna and chicken salad extras saved for tomorrow! Cleans easily. Stores compactly. Great purchase.
- I chop ingredients for salsa and with this I can control the amount of chopping, anything electric turns everything into mush. I use this for chopping onions without tears, hot peppers for soup without stinging eyes and hands and really, it chops everything great.
- My DH prepares all of our canine babies food. Every week he steams broccoli, Brussels sprouts and carrots and chops them into a vegetable medley. At first he was chopping by hand and boy did that take a long time. This chopper has cut the prep time by 80% which says a lot. The blade is super sharp and easy to put in and take out of the base. It says you can put the unit on the top shelf of the dishwasher but I find it is easier to wash it by hand in warm soapy water. My recommendation is to clean the blade by swishing it around in warm soapy water as soon as you are done using it. Makes for easy and safe clean up.
- I have been looking for a product just like this. Something that mixes and chops but doesn't require electricity. This thing is PERFECT! Works FAST and EASY. Really easy to clean and operate too! I was skeptical if it would really work as well as it appears to on the video, but it really IS that good :-) I have used it to whip heavy cream into whipped cream, and chop & dice frozen strawberries that I mixed into homemade ice cream. I've diced tomatoes and other ingredients into salsa. It's really nice when you just want to do a little job and don't want to mess with a whole food processor. I also live in an area where the electricity goes out often enough to make you consider options that can be used without power, and let's face it, all the best kitchen tools require electricity. I'm always keeping my eyes open for tools that I can use in a pinch if the power goes out, because we still have to eat even when there's no electricity! Also, other products available out there that are comparable to this one are WAY more expensive, have fewer attachments that are ALL sold separately, and don't look they will last nearly as long as this set. If you are considering a mixer/chopper set like this that is hand operated, this is definitely the one to get! I have researched tons of these things and this one is not only the best deal for the money, it is by far the best and most durable product that I have tried!

- I simply love this slicer/chopper. I made homemade salsa and even made my Puerto Rican food base "sofrito" perfectly in this. I used it frequently for the past 14 months. For what I paid, it was worth it. I see QVC still stocks it and so I may order another.
