We are seeking a skilled, reliable individual to fill the Commercial Maintenance Field Tech position. The ideal candidate will be interested in long-term growth and collaboration. This person will be responsible for performing maintenance on the building's facilities, including the upkeep of the Cutler properties and special projects located in Worcester, Westborough, and Shrewsbury. The successful candidate for this position is a motivated self-starter who can work effectively in a team environment and multitask without direction.
Responsibilities:
- Experience in concrete and/or carpentry is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Experience estimating and bidding on small commercial construction jobs and tenant up-fits.
- Complete daily work order requests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Performing routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed.
- Performing skilled tasks to maintain the facility (i.e. plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry)
- Record and manage work orders through mobile software, adding notes and completing follow-up as needed.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.
- Shoveling, snow blowing, and other snow removal-related tasks.
- Send and retrieve emails, pictures, and research relevant information on the internet when needed.
Position Requirements:
- Ability to work without close supervision.
- Considerable knowledge of the tools, equipment, materials, methods, and standard practices of the trade.
- Minor electrical and plumbing skills are a plus.
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs. and climb ladders.
- Construction Supervisor License (CSL) a plus
- Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- DOT Card or ability to obtain one.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
