Ultra strong Carpet Stretcher.Measures 45" tall ... Head about 16" wide
Connects to a 2" diameter extension pole (not included). The extension pole is normally fit against an opposing wall or some other fixed point to deliver the 'push' needed to stretch the carpet.
Scissor action lever allows for very high 'push' force.
When manipulating the wooden handle thru an arc of about 36" it causes the head to advance about 4". This is a 9:1 Leverage ratio. An easy 30 pound push can exert over 250 pound of force.
Head has typical carpet spikes to engage carpet for pushing.
Lovely old tapered handle.
It's heavy: around 20 pounds.
Seems ready for work in every regard.
