We are looking for a hard-working Concrete Finisher to join our growing company base. You must have previous experience in the construction industry. A basic understanding of effectively reading construction drawings is preferred but not required along with possessing the ability to work in all weather conditions. Effective communication and follow through skills are essential.
Concrete Finisher Responsibilities - Responsibilities of a concrete finisher include but are not limited to the following:
- Review project plans and location of the concrete pour.
- Check the finished product to make sure it meets requirements.
- Directing the casting of the concrete with the truck driver.
- Pouring, smoothing, and leveling concrete using a rake, trowel, float, and screed. This includes handheld tools and power tool versions.
- Must furnish your own: hand float, hand trowels, and sliders, concrete boots; all PPE will be supplied by Dex by Terra, Inc.
- Applying sealing and hardening components when applicable
- Excellent communication to and from Crew, Foremen and Project Managers.
Concrete Finisher Requirements:
- English speaking (preferred but not required)
- Active Driver’s License
- Minimum 2 years work experience as a concrete laborer or mason.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work long hours.
- Ability to kneel for long periods.
- Knowledge of hand-held and power tools including power vibrators, polishers, cuttings saws, and edging tools.
- Understand the roles and responsibilities of wearing proper protection equipment (PPE)
