We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Carpenter / Remodeling Carpenter to spearhead residential and commercial renovation projects in Worcester County and surrounding towns.

Responsibilities
☑ Lead and coordinate remodeling projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion while maintaining quality standards
☑ Bathroom remodeling, including framing, backing, trim, vanity installation, doors, flooring, and fixtures installation preparation
☑ Kitchen updates, cabinets, trim, doors, flooring, and general remodeling work
☑ Basement finishing, framing, drywall prep, doors, trim, and related carpentry
☑ Deck repairs, small deck builds, railings, stairs, and exterior carpentry
☑ Interior trim, baseboards, casing, doors, hardware, shelving, and finish carpentry
☑ Flooring installation, repairs, and prep work
☑ Drywall repairs, backer board installation, minor patches, and prep for paint/tile
☑ Read basic plans, measurements, scopes of work, and project instructions
☑ Identify job-site issues early and communicate them before they become larger problems
☑ Work cleanly in occupied homes and protect customer property
☑ Help keep projects on schedule and maintain professional quality standards and confidentiality
☑ Maintain detailed documentation of project progress, site inspections, and safety reports
Required Skills and Experience
☑ Strong remodeling carpentry experience
☑ Ability to do both rough carpentry and finish carpentry
☑ Good measuring, layout, cutting, installation, and problem-solving skills
☑ Ability to install doors, trim, flooring, cabinets, vanities, framing, backing, and general remodel components
☑ Extensive hands-on experience in roofing, siding installation, drywall finishing, and fixture installation
☑ Strong background in blueprint reading and schematics interpretation for diverse construction projects
☑ Familiarity with concrete forming techniques, masonry work, metal stud framing, plastering, caulking, and flooring/tile installation
☑ Experience with water damage restoration or mold remediation is highly desirable
☑ Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to cabinetry or custom fabrication is a plus
☑ Prior experience working on construction sites with an emphasis on restoration or remodeling projects is preferred
☑ Must have reliable transportation
☑ Must have own basic carpentry tools
☑ Must be reliable, sober, professional, and able to show up on time
☑ Must be comfortable working in customer homes
☑ Must be able to communicate clearly with owner, helpers, subcontractors, and customers when needed
☑ Must be able to show photos or examples of prior work
Preferred But Not Required
☑ Ability to lead a helper or small crew of subcontractors
☑ Experience with bathrooms, kitchens, basements, decks, and older homes
☑ Tile prep experience or tile installation experience
☑ Light drywall and paint prep experience
☑ Basic understanding of permits, inspections, and working around licensed trades
☑ Construction Supervisor License or Home Improvement Contractor experience is a plus
