A research study at McLean Hospital in Belmont, MA is enrolling women who have been exposed to a trauma but did NOT develop PTSD.
If you have experienced a very frightening or traumatic event, like an assault or mugging, a shooting, a house fire, a car accident, or witnessing sudden and unexpected serious injury or death, you may be eligible.
➢ 2 or 3 visits to McLean Hospital (total 6-8 hours)
➢ Computer testing and questionnaires
➢ Psychiatric interview
➢ Brain scanning using magnetic resonance imaging and spectroscopy
Who Can Participate
➢ Right-handed women, ages 30-39
➢ No history of head injury or neurological illness
➢ Able to read and speak English fluently
➢ No pacemakers, aneurysm clips, or other metallic objects in the head and upper body
Participants will be paid up to $200 for their time
